Default Question about downloading everything

What was the command for downloading every gw file at once? You had to put -image or something in the properties screen from your icon? I'm not sure.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Your memory is correct. You need to change the 'target' of your Guild Wars shortcut so that it looks like this (assuming GW is installed in the default location):

Code:
"C:Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image
The speechmarks are necessary btw.

I assume the command actualy prevents streaming of data - Taking longer to load areas but improving your ping

Wrong. This step pre downloads and uncompresses all GW files up to date that are relevant to your copy of the game. This makes it so that load times when going into different zones is minimal due to NO files ever being needed to uncompress during this time.

Ping is subjective and is not affected by this. Ping is only determined by each individual's ISP, PC and other settings.

cheers

Just do it, get it done, it's worth it.

"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image

Run it before you go to work or bed or something, unless you are a sleepless bum like me.

If you run the line command when no update is needed it will just close, so don't make it your regular game shortcut command.
